USES ESGIC PLUS-GENERIC: Esgic-Plus Generic
is an analgesic, barbiturate, and stimulant combination used
to treat tension headaches.
HOW TO USE ESGIC PLUS-GENERIC: Follow the
directions for using Esgic-Plus Generic provided by your doctor.
STORE Esgic-Plus Generic at room
temperature in a tightly-closed container, away from heat
and light. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF Esgic-Plus Generic and you
are using it regularly, take it as soon as possible. If it
is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and
go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses
at once.
SIDE EFFECTS ESGIC PLUS-GENERIC: SIDE EFFECTS, that
may go away during treatment, include drowsiness, dizziness,
lightheadedness, or nausea. If they continue or are bothersome,
check with your doctor. If you notice other effects not listed
above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS ESGIC PLUS-GENERIC: Some medicines or
medical conditions may interact with Esgic-Plus Generic. INFORM
YOUR DOCTOR OR PHARMACIST of all prescription and over-the-counter
medicine that you are taking. ADDITIONAL MONITORING OF YOUR
DOSE OR CONDITION may be needed if you are taking anticoagulants,
birth control pills, corticosteroids, doxycycline, isoniazid,
metronidazole, quinidine, theophylline, or medicine for high
blood pressure or heart conditions (beta blockers). Inform
your doctor of any other medical conditions, allergies, pregnancy,
or breast-feeding. Contact your doctor or pharmacist if you
have any questions or concerns about using Esgic-Plus Generic.
DRUG INTERATCIONS ESGIC PLUS-GENERIC: Do not take
acetaminophen / butalbital / caffeine if you have taken a
monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) such as:
- isocarboxazid (Marplan)
- phenelzine (Nardil), or tranylcypromine (Parnate) in the
last 14 days
Dangerous side effects could result. Acetaminophen and butalbital
may increase the effects of other drugs that cause drowsiness,
including antidepressants, alcohol, antihistamines, sedatives
(used to treat insomnia), other pain relievers, anxiety medicines,
and muscle relaxants. Tell your doctor about all medicines
that you are taking, and do not take any medicine unless your
doctor approves. Many other medicines contain acetaminophen,
especially over-the-counter pain, fever, cold, and allergy
medications. Too much acetaminophen can be very dangerous.
Drugs other than those listed here may also interact with
acetaminophen / butalbital / caffeine. Talk to your doctor
and pharmacist before taking any prescription or over-the-counter
medicines.
OVERDOSE ESGIC PLUS-GENERIC: Seek emergency medical
attention. Symptoms of an acetaminophen / butalbital / caffeine
overdose include insomnia, restlessness, tremor, nausea, vomiting,
diarrhea, abdominal pain, sweating, seizures, drowsiness,
decreased breathing, dizziness or fainting, confusion, an
irregular heartbeat, and coma.
NOTES ESGIC PLUS-GENERIC: IF YOUR HEADACHE SYMPTOMS
do not improve or if they become worse, contact your doctor.
DO NOT SHARE ESGIC-PLUS GENERIC with others for whom it was
not prescribed. DO NOT USE THIS MEDICINE for other health
conditions. KEEP THIS MEDICINE out of the reach of children.
IF USING THIS MEDICINE FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME, obtain
refills before your supply runs out.
MISSED DOSE ESGIC PLUS-GENERIC:
Take the missed dose of Esgic-Plus Generic as soon as you
remember. Do not take a double dose of this medication. Wait
the prescribed amount of time before taking your next dose.
STORAGE ESGIC PLUS-GENERIC:
Store Esgic-Plus Generic at room temperature away from moisture
and heat. Keep out of reach of children. |
